| A taste that hasn't been around for almost 200 years. Connecticut Yankee cigars feature a genuine Connecticut Grown Havana-Seed Wrapper. Neither broad leaf nor shade, Havana-Seed is grown in the Connecticut River Valley, the small piece of land in Connecticut where some of the world's premier tobacco is grown. In the early 1800's this was the predominant plant of choice for the tobacco farmers of that region. Havana-Seed plants were dark and delicious but production dwindled as the Connecticut growers favored the larger, thicker leaves of broadleaf. A very rare wrapper in the cigar world today, Victor Sinclair found a small cache of Havana-Seed aging in an old tobacco barn. By the mid 19th century the Havana-Seed was all but forgotten in Connecticut. Through skillful planning and hard work the Victor Sinclair family was able to obtain this extremely rare wrapper. It is with that piece of American history in mind, that Victor Sinclair Cigars are extremely proud to produce Connecticut Yankee. The genuine Connecticut grown Havana-Seed Wrappers of the Connecticut Yankee have the color of broadleaf, but are much more smooth and oily than broadleaf. The Havana-seed wrapper is then masterfully blended with premium aged Dominican and Nicaraguan long fillers for an unbelievably unique and full bodied taste.
